Day 4 over and done

Day 4.
“Today was a tough day. It was easy at first, my knee was bugging me often. But it finished weird because we had to run 20 minute after having seen the vehicle. That’s just one man whining, but there it is.” Paddy said as he went to rinse off his hand washed running clothes.

We ran the final miles of the I&M Canal path today. At least the ones that were doable. The very last 1.25 miles were completely flooded over. Should have had a canoe.

Then we ran our first hills so far. And that first one, was a death hill. Of course Paddy made it, but it proved to me that I am not a cyclist. I’m a support guy on a bike. That’s it.

Today Subway was the king. Paddy bought a personal pizza, and ate it throughout the day, he was in heaven.

Tomorrow we run the first segment on the Hennepin Canal, then through Tiskilwa and on through the country. Corn fields and wind turbines here we come!
